Jeep's history goes back to the 1940's when it received its first contract to build vehicles for the American military. This year, the company is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and to commemorate the event they're putting together a one of a kind World War II themed Jeep Wrangler. The special Jeep is being built on the Toledo, Ohio assembly line, and will be on display at Jeep's 75th Anniversary event.

The head of the Jeep brand Mike Manley said: "We are creating this unique Jeep Wrangler 75th Salute concept vehicle in celebration of the brand's legendary history, and to demonstrate that 75 years later, today's iconic Jeep Wrangler is instantly recognizable and clearly connected to the original Willys MB,"

The 2016 Jeep Wrangler will be painted olive drab green, and will include WW2 era seating, authentically styled bumpers, and a spare tire mounted at the rear. Commemorative badges and WW2 hood latches will be installed to complete the look. The unique model will be shown on August 13th in Jeep's exclusive Toledo car show. There will also be a Jeep parade and vintage Jeep films for Jeep fans to enjoy.
