The Jeep Compass and the Jeep Patriot nameplates are a decade old this year, and FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) has decided to cease production of the models. Instead of releasing revamped or re-imagined 2017 editions, Jeep will debut a brand new model which is currently being dubbed the Compatriot. Prototypes of the new model have been spied wearing black and white camouflage paint in Michigan where FCA owns a manufacturing plant in suburban Detroit.

Jeep's history goes back to the 1940's when it received its first contract to build vehicles for the American military. This year, the company is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and to commemorate the event they're putting together a one of a kind World War II themed Jeep Wrangler. The special Jeep is being built on the Toledo, Ohio assembly line, and will be on display at Jeep's 75th Anniversary event.
